Creating an Operational Audit Program

Operational Audits in FloQast allow your team to bring the entire audit workflow out of disconnected spreadsheets and directly into a centralized platform. By creating an Operational Audit program, you can establish a single source of truth for planning, task tracking, and evidence collection.

How to Create Your Audit Program

  1. Navigate to the Programs module within FloQast.
  2. Click the Create Program button in the top right corner. 

  1. In the program creation window, enter your Program Name (for example, "Inventory Audit").
  2. Enter a detailed Description of what your audit will cover. Note: Providing a thorough description is highly recommended, as this text feeds FloQast's AI-assisted setup tool to automatically generate starter content for your audit later on.
  3. Under the program type, select Operational Audit.

Controls Audit: Select this option to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of your internal control environment, ensuring key financial systems minimize misstatements and address control gaps.

Operational Audit: Select this option to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and resource use to identify internal improvement opportunities.


 

Operational Audit Settings 

Under Operational Audit, you can choose a Subtype from the provided list. If your specific audit type is not listed, select Other and manually type the audit name.

After selecting Operational Audit and choosing a Sub-Type complete the steps below: 

  1. Complete the standard setup flow by selecting your starting month, ending month, reporting period, and time zone.
  2. Click Continue to enter Project and Sub-Project Details

  2. Click Create to generate your new program.
