The Actions View is your central hub for tracking and managing journal entries that require attention. Whether you’re preparing, reviewing, or following up during the month-end close, it’s designed to keep you organized, minimize manual checks, and ensure nothing is overlooked.
To access it, go to the JEM landing page and select the Actions tab in the top bar. If your team is using the updated Approval Rules (released July 2025), you’ll see this tab along with a notification badge showing the number of items pending your action.
Note: this feature is only available with the new Approval Rules and is not supported on older versions.
The Actions View displays different sections based on your assigned role and the status of each journal entry:
Preparers will see actions grouped into: Post Failed, Revision Required, In Progress, and Not Started.
Reviewers will see actions grouped into: Post Failed and Ready for Review.
To keep the layout clean, any section with no journal entries will be hidden.
New journal entries will appear at the top, and each entry is clickable, allowing you to jump directly into it to complete the required action. Once you finish the action, the entry is removed from your list.
If a Post Failed status occurs, it will appear in both the preparer and reviewer sections:
Preparers can open the journal entry and select Fix Entry.
Reviewers can open the journal entry, select Send Back to Preparer, and leave a comment.
