Depending on the settings applied, you will either be able to post a journal entry upon entry, or it will not be posted until the journal entry is approved. You will know a journal entry has been posted by navigating to each journal entry and reviewing the header for post or fail verification.
Journal Entry Posting Statuses
- Not-sent - the journal entry has not been sent to the ERP and only exists within FloQast.
- Sent - The journal entry has been successfully transmitted to the ERP and exists within FloQast and the ERP.
- Failed - The journal entry has failed to be transmitted to the ERP. It may or may not exist both in FloQast and the ERP, depending on previous activity.
- For SFTP-based connections, a "Posted" status alongside the “Accepted” status is supported.
If a journal entry is unposted later in the ERP, users can resync the journal entry in FloQast, which will update the status accordingly.
When the journal entry posts successfully, the JE number will populate on the entry, and it will have a posted date/timestamp.
If a journal entry failed to post, the Journal will notify you via an inline alert explaining the reason for the failure and what action can be taken to resolve the issue.
