If the connection between FloQast and your cloud storage provider breaks, a FloQast Admin User must log in to FloQast and re-establish the sync. For consistency in the API integration, we recommend that the same user establish the connection again.
Important Note: If you wish to update the account that is used for syncing cloud storage to FloQast, please contact support@floqast.com. We have a process for this!
Google Drive users: The account used to re-establish the sync must have the Content Manager role (or higher) in Google Drive. If the connecting account does not have this role, the integration will not function correctly after re-syncing. Please confirm your Google Drive permissions before proceeding. If you are unsure how to check or update your role, contact your Google Workspace administrator.
The following steps will re-establish the connection between FloQast and your cloud storage provider:
- Login to the FloQast app and click the gear icon in the top right corner to access the Admin Settings.
- Select the 'Entities' tab.
- Select 'Manage' on the right-hand side of any of your entities. Please note that you will only need to perform the sync for one entity and it will apply to all entities.
- Scroll down to the Integration Settings section and select 'Update <Storage Provider> Credentials.' You will be redirected to your cloud storage provider and will be able to complete the authentication with the same account that was previously synced.
Cloud storage limitations
Each entity has one root folder. You can't set up multiple separate root folders in a single FloQast instance. If you need to separate entities by team or access level, create workflow subfolders inside the FloQast root. Keep in mind that new entities always land in the original FloQast root and have to be moved manually; cloud storage migrations also require the original folder structure to be in place first.
SharePoint limitation: FloQast connects to top-level SharePoint sites only. Sub-sites aren't supported. To isolate access by team or entity, set permissions at the entity folder level within the root site.
Still having issues after re-syncing?
If you continue to see errors uploading or managing documents after completing the steps above, try the following before contacting support:
- Clear your browser cache and reload the FloQast app.
- Log out of FloQast and log back in to refresh your session.
- Google Drive users: Verify that the account used to re-sync has the Content Manager role in Google Drive. Missing this role is the most common cause of continued errors after re-syncing.
If the issue persists after these steps, submit a request via support@floqast.com.
