Navigate to the Journal Entries tab to view the Journal Entry Management page. The below image is an example of what this page will look like. Read on to learn more about statuses and filtering options on this page.
For instances that have workflow approval enabled, journal entries will display on the Journal Entry Management Home Page in the following statuses:
Not Started - a cloned, draft journal entry that has not yet been edited.
In progress - a draft journal entry has been started and saved but not yet submitted for approval or posted.
Prepared - a journal entry has been submitted for approval, but not yet approved. Please note that an entry can be edited once it has been submitted for approval.
In Review - a reviewer has clicked into a “Prepared” journal entry and begun the review process. Changes cannot be made to a journal entry once it is in review.
Rejected - a reviewer has rejected the journal entry or the ERP has auto-rejected the entry. An example of an ERP auto-rejecting an entry would be posting to Accounts Receivable without selecting a valid customer in the Name field.
Approved - a reviewer has approved the journal entry and it has been posted to the ERP.
Quick Search Functionality
The Journal Entries Home Page displays the 25 most recently updated journal entries to quickly navigate day-to-day changes. It also automatically filters for journal entries where you are set as the preparer to make the view customized to you.
You can change or remove the preparer filter as well as use one or a combination of additional filters and searchable options:
- Search Entries by JE number or Memo as text to find exactly what you're looking for.
- Sort by column across specific fields.
- Filter journal entries by Preparer, Entity, Transaction Dates, and/or Post Status.
- Filter journal entries by one or multiple Statuses.
Exporting Your Journal Entries
From the JEM Home Page you can export all journal entry information, making it easier than ever to share with your auditors and streamline your reporting processes. Click the kebab button in the top right corner and then select Export to Excel.
