Rec Certifications
We’ve introduced Reconciliation Certifications to provide assurance that reconciliation information is complete and accurate according to stakeholder standards. Admins and Managers can now define certification statements that preparers and reviewers must attest to as part of their rec sign-off process. Certification statements are set the entity level (all recs will display the certification statements) and the language can be unique for preparers vs. reviewers. The audit trail is captured in-app, in rec exports, and in audit logs, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
Checklist and Reconciliation Dependencies
We’ve introduced the ability to create dependencies between Checklist and Reconciliation tasks, providing better visibility on how tasks affect downstream and upstream processes. Admins and Managers can set up task dependencies, allowing users to see if their task is ready to start or if it's holding up another process. Dependencies can be created across entities and workflows with support for various frequencies (monthly, quarterly, annual, custom). You will receive visual indicators and warnings for tasks blocked by incomplete upstream items, with soft and hard sign-off blocking to prevent premature sign-off. As an entity level setting, Admins will also be able to choose whether incomplete dependency states issue warnings during sign off (soft block) or fully prevent the completion of the downstream task (hard block).
Tie Out Improvements on the Entity Dashboard
We’ve enhanced the Tie Out data on the Entity Dashboard to provide clearer insights into what needs action. Previously, the dashboard displayed a basic count of Recs that Tied Out. Now, we’ve added counts for Unreconciled Recs and broken out items in Redo status, helping you better focus on tasks that require attention. We also added direct links to filtered views for easier navigation. Please note, the Redo status is only available for Entities with Strict Tie-Out enabled.
Entity Roles
We’ve introduced Entity Roles to provide more flexible access control across dpifferent entities. Previously, users had a single Account Role governing access across workflows and entities, but now Admins and Sys Admins can elevate a user’s role on a per-entity basis. For example, a user can be an Advanced User in one entity but a Manager in another, allowing them to control details like assignees and due dates for that specific entity as a Manager. The Entity Role will apply to the Checklists and Reconciliations, though it currently does not affect Admin Settings access.
