User question: Where do I find Report Builder and what do I need before I can use it?
FloQast Report Builder is a centralized tool within the Reporting product where your team can create, customize, edit, and delete financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and multi-period trend views. All report data is sourced directly from your connected ERP integration, so reports always reflect current, accurate figures without manual uploads or data entry.
What do I need before I can access Report Builder?
Report Builder requires two things to be in place before you can access it:
- A connected ERP integration — Report Builder pulls data directly from your connected ERP (such as NetSuite or Workday). Data cannot be manually uploaded. If your integration is not yet configured, contact your FloQast administrator.
- A Consolidations Project — you need access to at least one Consolidations Project to reach the Reporting tab. FloQast automatically creates a default Consolidations Project for you — no action required on your end besides confirming that your team has access via the Team Members page.
NOTE: If you do not see the Reporting tab in the Left Nav, your account may not yet have access to a Consolidations Project. Reach out to your FloQast administrator to confirm your access.
How do I navigate to Report Builder?
Once the prerequisites above are in place, follow these steps:
1. Click Reporting in the Left Nav. This opens the Reporting product.
2. In the top navigation bar, click Reporting. This is the last item in the bar and takes you directly into Report Builder.
You are now inside Report Builder. The left panel shows your Report Folders, and the right side displays the report grid. You are ready to begin.
