The Transaction Details drawer is available for individual accounts in Monthly NetSuite Flux reports via the new icon shown here. Once you click on the icon, all transaction related to this account and the periods listed in the report will be shown in the drawer to assist you in writing your explanations. It takes about 10-15 seconds to fetch the transactions from NetSuite.
Once the transaction have loaded, the drawer will default to collapsed and ungrouped.
Once you have the drawer open, you are able to group the transactions by Department, Vendor, Both, or None and see the total aggregated balances for these groups.
Once you have grouped your transactions, you can expand and collapse individual groups to see underlying transactions.
Because transaction details will be up to date each time the drawer is loaded, this may result in out-of-sync information with the face of the report. Therefore, we have implemented a warning when the total of the transactions does not match the total presented in the report, prompting you to refresh the report to pull in the most recent balances.
For Income Statement reports, the banner will appear when the current or selected period does not match what is shown in the Transaction Details screen.
For Balance Sheet reports, the banner will appear when the change shown in the Flux report, does not match the current period total shown in the Transaction Details screen. This is different from Income Statement reports due to the nature of the account. This is because the current month’s activity in a Balance Sheet account is what makes up the current period change over the prior month.
Exporting Transaction Details:
You can download a copy of an account's transaction details by clicking the "Export" button in the Transactions window. Furthermore, you can go directly to the Journal Entry in NetSuite by clicking the associated ID value.
Troubleshooting:
If you receive the below error, it is likely that your NetSuite permissions have not been updated in a while. Please let your FloQast contact or support@floqast.com know as soon as possible, and they will provide you with a guide with instructions for a NetSuite administrator to update those permissions.
If you see the above error intermittently for only some accounts and not others, this is likely due to a volume issue, as we currently support approximately 10k lines per account per period.
Current Limitations:
- NetSuite Only - While not available for other integrations at this point, it is our plan to bring this feature to those integrations in the future.
- Only available in Flux Month-over-Month Reports - Transaction Details are currently not available for Quarterly and Yearly reports or in Budget Variance reports.
- Account Level Only - Only available at the individual account level, not available for groups of accounts.
- Large Volume Accounts - Currently, we support approximately 10k lines of transactions per account per period.
