Autopilot is FloQast's central job-scheduling utility, designed to reduce manual intervention and optimize your team's workflow. This "set-it-and-forget-it" tool allows you to configure recurring automations for manual tasks, trusting the platform to execute them reliably in the background.
Automations can be scheduled on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis, complete with full visibility into detailed run histories.
Note: At this time, this only applies to AI Matching's Auto Sync and Apply Rules. Additional automation types spanning the broader product portfolio will be added in future releases.
How do I View and Create Automations in Autopilot?
Navigate into your Admin Settings and select the Autopilot tab. Note that autopilot is accessible only to Admin users.
The Autopilot page will display a list of all active Automations. This view includes the Automation's name and its current status.
Click the green Create Automation button to create your first Automation. A slide-out window will appear where you will complete the fields.
Determine a name for your Automation and select the Automation Type. At this time the only available Automation Type will be AI Matching Sync and Run. Next, set the scope which is the accounts, broken out by entity. Lastly, you determine the schedule. Pick a cadence (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly), and then the start date and run time (times reflect the user's time zone).
Click Save. Your Automation is now created and will run at the scheduled time.
The status column will provide insight into what's currently happening with the Automation. Statuses include:
- Scheduled
- Running
- Completed
- Completed with Issues
- Failed
- Disabled
Managing Automations:
Once an Automation is active, you have full control to manage it directly from the main Autopilot page. Use the toggle next to the Automation to disable it and temporarily stop it from running. Toggle the button back on to re-enable the schedule.
To the far right of the automations you'll see a kebab button. Click this to see 4 options: Run Now, Edit, Run History, and Delete.
- Run Now: Selecting this option runs the automation immediately, bypassing the next scheduled run. You will see the status update to Running.
- Edit: Click to edit the automation.
- Delete: Click to delete the automation.
- Run History: To monitor the performance of your background tasks, utilize the Run History view. This section displays a historical log of every Automation run, its final status, and any specific error messages from failures so you can quickly troubleshoot issues.
FAQs:
I don't use AI Matching. Is this still relevant to me?
A: Currently, Autopilot’s first released capability is tied to AI Matching. If you are not an AI Matching customer, you will see a managed empty state on the Autopilot page. However, Autopilot is a core platform capability, not an AI Matching add-on! As we expand Autopilot, more platform-wide use cases will become available to all customers.
