How do I change my input? Copied!
Navigate to the Global Input Library, located in the top-left corner of the screen, and hit Edit.
When do I need to add an input? Copied!
You need to add an input during the first step, or whenever you are adding a net-new input (rather than using an output generated from a previous step).
What’s the difference between the files I use to build my agent and the files I use when I run my agent? Copied!
When you build an agent, the files you upload work as samples. The agent learns the structure of your data from them: the tab names, the column headers, and the general layout. It’s learning where things live in your files, not memorizing the numbers that happen to be in them.
When you run the agent, the files you upload supply the actual data for that run. The agent applies the steps it learned during building to whatever data is in the files, so the data itself can change every time you run it. The structure can’t.
Do the files I use to run my agent need to have the same format as the files I used to build my agent? Copied!
Yes, the structure does. The input files you add when you run the agent need to be structured the same as the input files you added while you were building it. That includes elements like the tab names, column headers, and overall layout. The data inside the files doesn’t need to match. New values, new rows, and a new period are expected every time you run the agent.
The agent looks for the structure it learned during building. If a tab is renamed, a column is moved or retitled, or the file type changes, the agent can’t find what it expects. That usually shows up as a failed run or output that doesn’t look right.
If your source file format has changed for good, the agent needs to be updated to match it. Reach out to your Forward Deployed Accountant if you’re not sure whether a change to your file will affect your agent.
I replaced an input with a file that has different formatting — how do I get the agent to work with the new file? Copied!
If the replacement input has different formatting or structure, you will likely need to reprompt each step of the agent.
Can I edit a version once I’ve saved it? Copied!
You can always edit the agent. Once you make edits and save again, it will give it a new version number. This is to preserve the audit trail and to maintain a historical version that you can return to as needed. If you need to revert to an older version, you can make the older version ‘active’ and it will make that version the active one, and assign a new version number.
For a closer look at how drafts and saved versions differ, see Understanding Drafts vs. Saved Versions in FloQast Transform.
I lost my draft — how do I get it back? Copied!
No need to panic! To recover your draft, go to the top-right corner of the screen, click on the Version dropdown, and select the draft. Then, click the three dots (…) icon next to it and select View.
How do I move my agent from Pending to Live? Copied!
- Click the gear icon in the top-right.
- Set agent visibility to Live and click Save.
How do I straighten the lines / center my view in the Visual Agent Builder? Copied!
There is a menu at the bottom of the screen with a few icons. The broom icon will straighten lines and center your screen. It will also clean up any unused steps that were created and are floating freely.
My formula and formatting changes aren’t showing — why can’t I see them in the preview? Copied!
Currently, formulas and formatting do not display in the preview window. You can download the file and view the formulas and formatting in Excel (be sure to click ‘Enable Editing’ in your Excel).
Can I copy headers and tabs from the preview? Copied!
No, the Preview Window is strictly a visual mockup of your files and does not contain the same functionality as Excel.
Can I attach an output to a reconciliation or checklist? Copied!
You can send outputs to Reconciliations / Checklists (in Beta).
Can I feed in bank info with Trovata like I do for AI Matching? Copied!
No, but you can bring in bank details with BAI2 instead.
