Overview

Preparing transaction data for AI Transaction Matching has traditionally been a manual, repetitive task. For each account, you would pull transactions from your source, trim the file down to only the columns AI Transaction Matching needs, download it, and then manually upload it into the AI Transaction Matching tool for that account. The Import to AI Matching skill removes those steps entirely. Within a single Agent run, Transform pulls your transactions, shapes the file to include only what that account’s matching requires, and delivers the finished output directly into AI Transaction Matching for the account you specify. Once configured, your Agent performs this import on every run, so your transaction data lands in the right place consistently and predictably period after period—without any manual downloading or uploading.

Curating Your Transaction Data

This is where Transform does the heavy lifting. AI Transaction Matching expects your imported file to contain a specific set of fields for the account being matched—and rather than preparing that file by hand every period, you can build your Agent to curate the data exactly how you need it.

Pull transactions straight from your source, then let Transform’s data skills reshape, filter, and clean the file for you: keep only the columns AI Transaction Matching requires, drop everything that isn’t needed, and standardize the formatting so every run produces a consistent, match-ready output. What was once a tedious, repetitive cleanup task becomes a step your Agent handles automatically—the same way, every time.

Adding the “Import to AI Matching” Block

As with all Skill Blocks within FloQast Transform’s Visual Agent Builder, there are 2 ways to add them to your workflow. You can either drag the block onto the canvas, or, click the plus sign below the block that will precede the new skill block.

Configuring the ‘Import to AI Matching’ Skill Block

1. Click into the ‘Import to AI Matching’ block
2. Select the Account you want to import transactions into
3. Confirm the required fields are present in your prepared file
4. Click “Finish” to save the step

Running the Agent

When you run an agent that includes the “Import to AI Matching” skill block, each step executes in sequence. As the run progresses, the Run panel displays every step with a green checkmark as it completes, finishing with the “Import to AI Matching” step.

Once the run finishes, a Results card appears confirming the run is Completed, along with the run details and a Download option for the finalized file.

From there, the curated transactions are delivered directly into AI Transaction Matching for the account. The imported transactions populate the matching screen and a “Transactions Ready” confirmation appears, so you can move straight into matching—with no manual download or upload required.
