Creating an Agent
Overview: This article provides a step-by-step guide for the initial configuration of a Transform Agent.
Quick Start
- Click Create Agent in the top right of Transform’s Home Page.
- Configure Agent Settings (name, entity, description, and any advanced options).
- Enter your first input and begin adding Skill Blocks.
Before You Begin
- Ensure you have the proper permissions in Transform to create Agents.
- If your Agent needs integrated data (e.g. NetSuite, Coupa, Ramp, etc.), ensure data connections are already completed.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Create a New Agent
To start the Agent creation process, find and click the Create Agent button (top-right corner). This will open up a configuration wizard.
Step 2: Configure Agent Settings
Upon entering the configuration wizard, the initial step involves defining your Agent’s settings. These parameters may be modified at any time to suit evolving requirements.
- Agent Name: Give your Agent a name. We recommend names to be clearly unique so that navigation and searching is easy.
- FloQast Entity: Agents are tied to individual entities. Only FloQast users with access to the selected entity will be able to see the Agent, and only integrations associated with the selected entity will be available.
- Description: Briefly describe your Agent. We recommend some procedural details be included here. This can be a helpful differentiator when multiple Agents are similarly named.
- Click Continue.
Step 3: Visual Agent Builder Canvas
You will then be brought to the Visual Agent Builder Canvas. Here, you can begin building your agent by adding Skill Blocks like Transform Data or Query Data.
With the agent created and settings configured, you now have access to the Visual Agent Builder Canvas. For detailed instructions on building agents using Skill Blocks, check out Builder 101.
