FloQast Connect: Fetch data with SFTP
With FloQast Connect, users can configure Agents to fetch files from an SFTP server that is refreshed automatically or on a periodic basis, allowing Agents to integrate with systems for which we don't support a direct API connection.
Adding SFTP Files as Inputs for AI Agents
1. Input Library: Click the (+) sign on the Input Library.
2. Type of Input: Select the 'File' input type
3. Select: Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window and click "Select via SFTP"
Setting up the SFTP Connection
For source systems where a direct API connection is not currently active, SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) provides a reliable, automated alternative for data ingestion. To ensure your files are parsed and routed correctly, specialized logic is configured to receive data and direct it to the appropriate Entity, Period, and Agent. At this stage, establishing a new SFTP connection is a coordinated process; you will work alongside your Forward Deployed Accountant (FDA) to define the routing rules and verify the connection.
Selecting Files: You will see 2 tabs. The first will contain all files sent over that were set up to only be accessible for that specific agent.
Selecting Files: The other tab will contain files that were sent over to the same entity, but did not specify any specific agent for their use.
Adding the File: Once you find your file, click the checkbox, then hit 'Select'. This will work exactly like your file Explorer when uploading inputs from your computer.
New Available Input: Once you click 'Save' after picking your file and naming it, the file will be added as an available input, the same as any file you may upload from your local device.
