The Contacts that were selected as recipients of a FloQast ReMind Request will receive an email to their inbox. The Subject Line and the Body of the email will be configured based on the Template and/or the customized messaging used when creating the ReQuest. A Recipient can respond to a FloQast ReMind request in two or three easy steps:
Scenario 1: Data Requested via Excel Template
1. Receive Email with Request Details and Attachment
The email will be delivered as a service of FloQast ReMind, and the sender will appear as: Requester Name via FloQast ReMind
In the example below, Troy has submitted a Request through FloQast ReMind. Alex is one of the Contacts chosen as a recipient of this data request. Therefore Alex received an email from "Troy via FloQast ReMind."
Information about Sales Commissions is being requested on an Excel Spreadsheet that the Requester has included. This spreadsheet will be an attachment to the email.
2. Supply Requested Information within Excel Workbook
As a recipient, you can simply download the attached Excel file to your local computer and enter the appropriate information. When you are finished, the Excel file can be saved anywhere (it can remain in the downloads folder, on the desktop, etc.) since it will be uploaded as an email attachment in the next step.
3. Reply with Completed Excel Workbook Attached
The completed Excel workbook should be attached to an email that is a direct reply to the original message. Replying with your attachment will send the completed file back to the FloQast ReMind app and ultimately tabulate the results for the Requester into a single report.
If you have nothing to report, then there is no need to reply with a blank/empty Excel workbook. Instead, you may reply with "None" or "N/A" in the body of the email.
NOTE: With this method, the main data collection happens through the Excel attachment. The requestor will still receive a copy of your email reply should you enter anything in the body of the response, but please enter your data within the Excel workbook if one is attached!
Scenario 2: Data Requested via "Get a Response" or "Complete a Task"
1. Receive Email with Request Details
The email will be delivered as a service of FloQast ReMind, and the sender will appear as: Requester Name via FloQast ReMind
The body of the email will contain a prompt for the recipient to follow:
If "Get a Response" type, then a specific piece of data will be requested.
If "Complete a Task" type, then the message will request "Please respond and confirm that you've completed the following task"
2. Supply Requested Information Directly within Email Response
The recipient may hit "reply" directly to the original email delivered through ReMind. The response may supply a specific piece of data, or might be a simple "Done" if a task was asked to be completed. In either event, the body of this email reply will supply the ReMind requester with the data they need. Hit send and you are done!
Scenario 3: File Requested
1. Receive Email with File Request
The email will be delivered as a service of FloQast ReMind, and the sender will appear as: Requester Name via FloQast ReMind
The body of the email will contain a request for the recipient to respond with one or more files.
2. Supply Requested Files Directly within Email Response
The recipient may hit "reply" directly to the original email delivered through ReMind. Any requested files should be added as attachments to the direct reply. A message within the body of the email is not necessary, though the original requester will have access to any written responses as a supplement to the files. Once all files have been attached, hit send, and you are done!
